Cheesecake has to be my favourite desert. I cannot get enough of it – Whether it’s a simple basic vanilla, a gourmet Gu pot or queueing up for a door wedge size of cake at the Cheesecake Factory when I’m over seas. As a child, my Mum would often recall the time I would throw a tantrum if there was no cheesecake on the dessert menu!
So how did Cheesecake Chris come to life? Well mostly from a throw away comment I made on our family WhatsApp group over Christmas when I made the Amaretto and White Chocolate cheesecake for dinner, and received lots of comments (most drooling jealousy) from my friends on Facebook.
A few jokes, a few glasses of wine, a night of nothing to watch on TV, and Cheesecake Chris was born.
First thing I did was to get the website started, claim the facebook page and get registered to do my Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, as soon as I started advertising the facebook likes grew, the pages were shared. It appears that I found a gap in the market for Cheesecakes!
I’m always trying to think of new flavours and some of the more recent ones have come about from customers asking if I could do them. So please, if there is a flavour you really like, let me know!
